Stability Result for Dynamic Inversion Devised to Control Large Flexible Aircraft

چکیده
Abstract High performance aircraft of the future will be designed lighter, more maneuverable, and operate over an ever expanding flight envelope. One of the largest differences from the flight control perspective between current and future advanced aircraft is elasticity. Over the last decade, dynamic inversion methodology has gained considerable popularity in application to highly maneuverable fighter aircraft, which were treated as rigid vehicles. This paper is an initial attempt to establish global stability results for dynamic inversion methodology as applied to a large, flexible aircraft. This work builds on a previous result for rigid fighter aircraft and adds a new level of complexity that is the flexible aircraft dynamics, which cannot be ignored even in the most basic flight control. The results arise from observations of the control laws designed for a new generation of the High-Speed Civil Transport aircraft.

Design of Nonlinear Robust Controller and Observer for Control of a Flexible Spacecraft
Two robust nonlinear controllers along with a nonlinear observer have been developed in this study to control a 1D nonlinear flexible spacecraft. The first controller is based on dynamic inversion, while the second one is composed of dynamic inversion and µ-synthesis controllers. The extension of dynamic inversion approach to flexible spacecraft is impeded by the non-minimum phase characteristi...
متن کاملDynamic Load Carrying Capacity of Mobile-Base Flexible-Link Manipulators: Feedback Linearization Control Approach
This paper focuses on the effects of closed- control on the calculation of the dynamic load carrying capacity (DLCC) for mobile-base flexible-link manipulators. In previously proposed methods in the literature of DLCC calculation in flexible robots, an open-loop control scheme is assumed, whereas in reality, robot control is achieved via closed loop approaches which could render the calculated ...
متن کاملAdaptive attitude controller of a reentry vehicles based on Back-stepping Dynamic inversion method
This paper presents an attitude control algorithm for a Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) with a low lift/drag ratio (L/D < 0.5), in the presence of external disturbances, model uncertainties, control output constraints and the thruster model. The main novelty of proposed control strategy is a new combination of the attitude control methods included backstepping, dynamic inversion and adaptive cont...

airplane in presence of asymmetric left-wing damaged. Variations of the aerodynamic parameters, mass and moments of inertia, and the center of gravity due to damage are all considered in the nonlinear mathematical modeling. The proposed discrete-time nonlinear MRAC algorithm applies the recursive least square (RLS) algorithm as a parameter estimator as well as the error between the real ...
متن کاملControl of the Aircraft Lateral-directional Motion during Landing Using the H-inf Control and the Dynamic Inversion
In this paper, the phase of aircraft landing associated to the lateral-directional plane is discussed and a new automatic control system is developed; it takes into consideration the crosswind and the sensor errors. H-inf control and the dynamic inversion concept are used because the first mentioned technique handles very well the system uncertainties providing robust stability, while the good ...
